The FGV Analytics research center is structured around three main axes, which complement each other:
1. development of big data analytics (BDA) and artificial intelligence (AI) tools and support systems (and monitoring) for decisions to combat and prevent crimes;
2. encouraging the development of evidence-based public security policy assessment tools;
3. structuring of research networks and open innovation processes.
Thus, the objective is to create a research framework that accelerates the use of data and artificial intelligence tools for decision-making in the area of public security, providing the technical structure and articulation between the essential actors of the sector, with a view to stimulating the development of evidence-based public policy assessment tools, in addition to developing innovative solutions applied to public security challenges.
